"I earned both my undergraduate and
medical degrees at the University. As an
alumnus and long-time Medical School
faculty member, I feel a strong and
compelling loyalty and desire to provide
support to the University.When I
learned of the Pension Protection Act
of 2006, I was struck by the simplicity
it provided me to make charitable gifts
from my IRA account. I have made a
direct outright transfer to the School
of Medicine and Dentistry, without
the cumbersome need to include the
amount of the gift in my gross income. Nothing could have been easier."
