Personal Stories
Our education at the University provided a great platform for a future career, and a wonderful life together. The size of the school provided opportunities to play sports, and to participate in campus life, all as part of a really good education. Our gift was just a payback for the financial aid we received during our student years.
When selling our company, it was a good time and way to give tax-advantaged dollars to fund a charitable remainder trust, and the University thus received more than would otherwise have been possible. We both feel happy to see our good fortune accrue benefits to a new generation.
We hope that the University will be noted not only for academic excellence, but also as a place where spiritual values and a regard for the environment are an integral part of the educational process.
